Camps Many parents feel that summer camp is an important transition for children: it helps them to become slightly more independent and to learn what it’s like to be away from home, as well as honing social skills and just having fun. But many parents of children with a disability may feel that there aren’t any camps that can accommodate their child with cerebral palsy. There are, however, many facilities, both sleepover and day camps, that are fully equipped to deal with the care of a child with a disability. The following is a list of these such camps that can accommodate your child, so that he or she doesn’t miss out on the fun of summer camp.
